In response to the ADA recommendations regarding the COVID-19 virus, our office will be closed for the coming weeks. Any patients with a dental emergency will still be provided care by appointment. New and existing patients are also welcome to call or email to schedule future appointments. Thank you from the team at Lake Forest Dental Associates.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening
After trying a number of brands, we opted to use Zoom! teeth whitening in our office to help our patients achieve a brighter smile.
One of the benefits of Zoom! is that they offer a number of different products so we can customize your teeth bleaching experience. If you want results fast, you can choose our in-office option. If you would prefer to whiten your teeth at home, we offer several different levels of professional whitening treatments that will help you get great results without side effects such as sensitivity.
Digital x-rays are an essential part of diagnosing dental conditions early. With up to 80 percent less radiation than traditional film x-rays, they are extremely safe to use. Digital dental x-rays provide high-resolution images that Dr. Daftary and Dr. Zaner use to see dental conditions such as decay, which is not always visible with the naked eye alone. They can also help identify:
Cysts or tumors
We take x-rays periodically, based on your needs, the amount of dentistry you have, and your oral health history. Because the images are digital, we can store them in your electronic chart for future comparisons, emailing to insurance companies, and sending to specialists.
Digital Records and Charts
By eliminating the need for a paper chart, we can protect your most sensitive information.
We store your records on our secure server in an encrypted format that adds an extra layer of privacy and protection. Another benefit of digital charts is that all your information is available at the click of a mouse for our dentists to review, forward to insurance companies, or spot changes in your oral health over time.
A panoramic x-ray provides information that individual x-rays cannot. We can look at the relationship between your teeth and bone, monitor bone levels, examine your jaw joints, and see things like sinuses when planning surgery.
A panoramic x-ray moves all the way around your head and shows us all your teeth at once. This x-ray is an essential part of planning surgeries such as removal of third molars (wisdom teeth) and dental implant placement.
Endodontics refers to root canal treatment, which we provide right here in our Lakeforest Dental Associates office. We use the latest rotary technology to ensure better and more accurate results along with greater comfort.
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a mild sedative that we can use safely for most patients. This helps patients relax during treatment and eliminates the anxiety that can make it difficult for some patients to become completely numb.
Nitrous oxide enters and leaves your system quickly, has few side effects, and does not leave you groggy. We deliver nitrous oxide through a small nose mask throughout your treatment and monitor your sedation levels during your appointment.
As soon as we stop the flow of nitrous oxide gas, you will feel completely normal within a few minutes.
Televisions in Rooms
Do you need an hour or two to catch up on your favorite show or watch a movie that you have had on your list for awhile? We have televisions in our treatment rooms to provide some entertainment while you get the dental care you need to stay healthy. We can make a suggestion or you are welcome to choose your own program, kick back, and relax while we give you a great smile!
An intraoral camera is a small, handheld device that fits comfortably inside your mouth and allows us to capture high-resolution images of single teeth or even a section of your mouth. The images are valuable when explaining your conditions because they allow us to show you exactly what we see. That way, you can make an educated choice when it comes to the future of your oral health.
We can store these images in your chart and pull them up to monitor conditions over time. Our team can also send them to insurance companies seeking additional information.
3 Shape Digital Scanner
The 3Shape TRIOS MOVE allows Dr. Daftary and Dr. Zaner to share your digital scans, images, and treatment plan during your exam. This helps patients picture their final results early on.
